Meta allows one personal Facebook account per person. Creating several personal profiles to multiply your reach breaches that, and Meta can disable them — usually all at once, usually without warning, and typically at the point where your listings have become worth something.
What Meta does support is a personal account alongside Pages or a business portfolio. If you are selling at volume, that is the route worth building on. It is slower to set up and it is the one that survives.
So who legitimately has more than one? Usually it happens organically rather than by design — a household where two people each sell their own things, a business account beside a personal one, or an old profile still holding live listings. Those are genuinely different from one person spinning up profiles for reach, and they carry genuinely different risk. Be honest with yourself about which one you are.
Marketplace surfaces newer listings more prominently. A listing that has sat for three weeks gets seen less than the same item posted today, which is why relisting works at all — you are buying back visibility you lost to age.
The catch is the same one Kijiji sellers hit: a relist is a delete followed by a create. If the create fails, the listing is simply gone. There is no draft to recover, and most tools report success without checking. Across several accounts you may not notice for weeks, because the only symptom is fewer messages.
Being plain about the limit: none of this makes automation risk-free. It makes it slower, more careful, and honest with you when something fails.
