Privacy Policy

MKLister is a desktop application that runs on your own computer. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, what we never collect, and how what we do collect is used. If anything here is unclear, email mklisterrr@gmail.com.

The short version

Your selling data never leaves your PC. Listings, photos, descriptions, buyer messages, marketplace logins, and browsing sessions are stored locally on your computer and are never uploaded to us. What we hold is the minimum needed to run licensing: your email, your license key, and an anonymous machine ID.

What we collect, and why

Email address — when you start a trial or buy a license. Used to issue your key, prevent repeat trials, send you your key and receipts, and answer support requests.
License key and machine fingerprint — when you activate, the app sends your key and an anonymous machine ID (a one-way hash derived from hardware details like hostname and network adapter; it cannot be reversed into those details). Used to bind your license to your computer, enforce seat limits, and check the license periodically (roughly every 6 hours) so revoked or expired keys stop working.
Update checks — the app periodically asks our server for the latest version, identified by your key and machine ID, so licensed users get updates.
Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive from Stripe your name, email, and purchase details (plan, amount, date) to fulfil the order.
Support correspondence — if you email us, we keep the thread to help you.
Crash reports — if the app hits an unexpected error, it sends us the error message, the technical stack trace, your app version, your operating system, and your Node version. Nothing else. Before anything is sent, the report is scrubbed of license keys, email addresses, your Windows username, listing titles, and marketplace IDs. Crash reports carry no license key, no machine ID and no account identifier, so we cannot tell which customer a crash came from — we use them only to find and fix bugs. What we never collect

Your marketplace usernames, passwords, cookies, or sessions — these stay in browser profiles on your PC.
Your listings, photos, prices, descriptions, or categories.
Your buyer messages or their contents.
Analytics about how you use the app — no usage tracking, no feature tracking, no session recording, no profiles. The only thing the app ever sends unprompted is an anonymous crash report when something breaks, described above.
Website tracking — this site sets no analytics cookies and runs no trackers.

Where data is stored and who processes it

License records (email, key, machine ID, activation timestamps) are stored with Supabase (our database and licensing backend). This website is hosted by Netlify, whose servers keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page). Payments are handled by Stripe. These processors handle your data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else.

The tutorial video on our homepage is hosted on YouTube. The page itself only loads a thumbnail image; if you press play, the video is served in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and YouTube (Google) processes that playback under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

License records are kept while your license or trial exists and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and fraud prevention. Support emails are kept as long as useful for helping you.

Your choices

Crash reports — to switch them off, open %LOCALAPPDATA%\MKLister\app\.env in Notepad, add the line FBM_CRASH_REPORTS=0, save, and restart MKLister. Email us if you'd rather we walk you through it.
Deletion — email us to delete your license records. Note that deleting an active license disables the software it unlocks.
Access & correction — email us and we'll show you what we hold about you or fix anything wrong.
Offline use — the app works offline for up to 14 days between license checks; there is no way to disable license checks entirely.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note the change on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
